| Wayne and Elizabeth have been involved in
music all their lives - Elizabeth played the piano in the church
pastored by her father, and Wayne began playing keyboards in
his church at 9 years of age. Throughout their 22 years of
marriage, they have blended their passion for music and
ministry. They work together as a team in songwriting,
singing, teaching, and in speaking at retreats and seminars.
They have served as Ministers of Music in Pensacola,
Florida and Phoenix, Arizona. Wayne served as Chairman of the
Music department of Christian Life College in Stockton, California
from 1985 - 1996. Currently, the Goodines live in San Antonio,
Texas where they are chairing the music department at International
Bible College. They travel throughout the USA and around the
world doing choir/orchestra workshops, concerts and speaking
engagements. Their desire is to share the message of Jesus
Christ through the music ministry that God has given them.
They pray to be led by God and sensitive to His voice as they
communicate life - changing truths and lead people into His
presence.
Wayne was born in Perth-Andover, New
Brunswick, Canada and attended college in St. Louis, Missouri and
Jackson, Mississippi. He has completed three music
degrees.
Elizabeth was born in DeRidder,
Louisiana. She has lived in St. Louis, Missouri and Dallas,
Texas where she was when she married Wayne in 1983.
They have two children, Brad, age 19, and
Bethany, age 17. Brad is entering his sophomore year of college at Baylor University where he majors in Economics. Beth will begin her senior year of high school Fall 2005 and plans to study music upon graduation. Both children are actively involved in their parents' ministry, traveling with them throughout the summer and on occassion during the year.
Together, Wayne and Elizabeth have written
songs which include "Lead Me, Lord", "He will Deliver
You", "Put Your Life in the Master's Hand", and
"I Find My Peace in You, Lord". They have written
two musicals which have been published by Brentwood-Benson Music in
Nashville, TN - "Called To Go", a missions musical, and
"He Came To Us", a Christmas musical which has been
translated into Spanish and used in Latin American Countries.
Wayne gives his testimony of God's
faithfulness to him through painful times in his life in songs
such as "Jesus Is Everything I Need", "I'm Free"
and "He Really Cares For You". Some of his most
recent compositions such as "Jesus Is Worthy",
"Trophy Of Grace" and "Have Your Way Lord" have
been published in projects by Brentwood-Benson Music Group in Nashville, TN
and are sung often by church choirs.
Elizabeth has written songs such as
"Praise You", "You Are Worthy", "When Jesus
Lifts the Load", and "Heartmender". One of her newest songs,
"I Bless Your Name," was nominated as Worship Song of the Year 2005 by
the Gospel Music Association. This song is also on the new Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
project to be released Fall 2005.
Their songs have been recorded by such groups
as Selah, the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, the Gaither Vocal Band, the Christ
Church Choir, Alvin Slaughter, Janet Paschal, Jimmy Swaggart, the
Nelons and many others. Two of their songs have been included
in the new "Celebration Hymnal", published by Word and
Integrity, and ten of their songs are included in "America's 200 Favorite
Praise Choruses and Hymns".
